How The Index was measured
We measured the home pages of 20 leading interior design studios in Europe, the United States and Australia on 11 and 12 October 2026. This is how, with the numbers behind the page.
- Speed
- Google PageSpeed Insights, mobile, on each home page: the lab test on a simulated slow phone, and the real-visitor phone figure (the 75th percentile) where Google has enough visits. One page gave no lab result, so the speed figures are of 19.
- What each page has
- A browser probe of each home page at 1440 by 900 and 390 by 844: the main heading, cookie bars and pop-ups on arrival, image descriptions, languages, and the enquiry form on the contact page.
- Names
- No studio is named. The file below lists each site by number only.
- Limits
- One measurement over two days. Lab numbers change from run to run, and Google had real-visitor data for 14 of the 20.
